Karis is the only therapeutic community of its kind in the region and one of only a few nationwide. Through the generous support of donors, we can offer our program for as low as $685/month. The Empowerment Program provides individual check-ins, six weekly support group meetings, evening community meals, household supplies, utilities, onsite peer support, and mental health services. Private treatment centers comparable to Karis often cost upwards of 10,000 per month, resulting in inaccessibility to individuals managing lower incomes. Without Karis, many Community Members would be stuck in cycles of instability, further perpetuating what often feels like unmanageable situations.
